Although conditions have eased off significantly since snow and ice at Windsor Park forced the match against Russia to be postponed on successive days at the start of the international week, temperatures are still uncomfortably low and winds high.
It is a far cry from the glorious conditions that prevailed during Israel's 3-3 draw against Portugal in Tel Aviv on Friday, but Chelsea midfielder Benayoun knows all about the British weather and does not think it will disrupt his team's plans.
"I am not worried about this weather, I have played eight years in the Premier League," he said.
"We have other experienced players too, who have played in all conditions so I don't think it will be a deciding factor. This is not weather players love to play in but it is the same for both teams.
"The team who wants it more and fights more will win the game.
"I expect a typical British game - very aggressive, passionate, people giving 100 per cent and fighting for every ball."
Benayoun has hardly enjoyed a dream stint at Stamford Bridge and is likely to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Interim manager Rafael Benitez is set to do the same, bringing to an and an unhappy campaign for the Blues.
But Benayoun demurred when asked whether he was a happier man on international duty than at his club.
"I always have a good time with the international team, for the last 15 years, but I have enjoyed every moment at Chelsea also," he said.
"The atmosphere in the dressing room is great and has some of the best players of any dressing room I've ever been in.
"Sometimes when you have bad results a lot of other things come out into the press, wrong things.
"But as players we concentrate on what is going on on the pitch."
